Have no fear. I am still around. Just haven’t had too many topics to write about lately, so I will update you on my progress.
I am currently writing a business plan with the help of this microsoft office template. It looks pretty good, and will help me get these ideas that are floating in my head down onto something permanent. I also am looking for a partner to help with programming and security issues for an online subscription site I am working on; the same one I’m writing the business plan for. In addition to a programmer, I need to schedule an appointment to speak with an attorney about the legalities of my site idea, protecting myself from sue happy people, and the like. When I am certain of the legal road I need to take, and the business structure which is best for my situation (I’m thinking LLC, but I’ll wait and see what the attorney says), I need to talk with a CPA so they can walk me through tax issues, and when to set up a business account etc. I have a plethora of questions I need to ask these two individuals, but once I get that information, I will have it and know what to do for the next time I need to start a business.
And, on top of all of this, I am looking for a full time job that I can be happy with. So, as you can see, I have a lot on my plate. I really want to get this business going and in the shortest amount of time, I just want to do it the right way, with no regrets. I’m willing to take my time if it means less headaches down the road.
But first things first, I need to get the business plan completed so I know EXACTLY what I need to do next in a series of steps to meet the final goal of business launch and running it smoothly.
